October Newsletter

Although Haiti continues to be in the midst of a great crisis, we have seen some significant progress in the areas we have been working. Through your consistent support, we have opened three new schools with temporary structures and latrine facilities. We have completed the construction on one of our permanent schools and added a kitchen and office to another. Throughout the summer, we were able to build over 60 benches. We made significant improvements/changes to our parsonage housing where our pastoral families live in Fauche and Cassange. Our relief teams from Leogane and Grand-Goave have been doing fantastic work in responding to the needs brought on by the earthquake that hit in August. We’ve responded with food, medical care, and helping to improve local infrastructure. Lastly, we made substantial improvements to our clinic in Leogane and have hired a full-time doctor and two dentists, allowing even better medical care in our communities!

Worcester Programs

We had a fantastic Day of Caring event, coordinated by United Way of Central Massachusetts and staffed by the team at Hannover Insurance! We worked on staining the deck, repainting the café, building a fence, and installing garden boxes! We continue to work to make capital improvements to the Community Center space. The vision is to see this space continue to bring hope and light to the community in Worcester, Massachusetts.
